Default Im leaving the RS Scene :-(

ive just been offered a wreck of a sunny gtir at a price I couldnt refuse meaning im having to break my rs to fund it. eally gutted to be loosing my rs and the whole rs scene but I need a more rewarding project, seing as I couldnt afford a cossy the gtir seemslike the only other viable project to go for. Any hoo will stay on this ezzy forum and offer help when I can. Hopefully the next time im back in the rs scene will be in the not so distant future and behind the wheel of a 3door cos

Cheers people and happy motoring

i was going to sell the rs to buy one, i couldnt find a decent one for under 3k, if i found an alright shell with a goosed engine the rebuild would cost me 2k plus, just a bit out my price range, the suuny im looking at is a uk car and unmodified, it has rebuilt gearbox and a standard engine, just the bodywork is tatty, im getting it for 500 so I should be able to make a 280bhp reliablecar out of it for not to much money, should keep me hapy till cossies become a tad more affordable???

cossies will not come down in price anytime soon, they might have small dips and highs but consistently theyre on the up....you'll regret it if you get rid of your cossie to fund a sunny ....

Think about it long and hard even if the sunny is cheap. Or buy the sunny and sort it and sell on for profit.

i know i know, but ive spent ŁŁŁ on my s2, only to learn that my spec was aimed more at a efi engine, was goingto cost me 1300 for the steel block and 1600 for gotech conversion. I have know this sunny for the past 6 years, its proper straight and will take about 1500 to get it totally mint and standard lookin with 280bhp 4wd fun!! seems like a good idea for now, but i will have a cossie one day!!! ( i keep telling myself this)
there may be a sunny on my drive, but there's a ford in m heart.
god that soppy.lol

well im going to put my modified parts on ebay later, will keep an eye on the saphs and se what they are going for, if I can find a half decent one for 2k with maybe a worn engine I will me swayed to that, if anyone see's any going for that price let me know. I know its wishful thinking.lol
