Default How can i test loudness

Anyone know how i can test loudness off me car

considering a track day but dont wanna fork out the money to be refused entry

I have a sierra Saph cosworth but the centre box has been removed by the previous owner so i think it will be too loud

I think that without a centre box, most cosworths would fail the noise test limit at most tracks. The best thing to do is get a decent quiet twin box system before you go on a trackday.

You local to Newbury, Berks? If so pm me and I'll sort you out with a test from a recently MSA certificated db meter for a bottle of wine? (that'll be for my mate who owns it)

it depends where you are thinking of taking it dave.
oulton park are fairly good as its 105db there and i think it would pass.
i would say find out when there is a track day going on and have a run over in the car and ask them to check it for you.

I wouldn't worry about the noise level on track your old cossie is unlikely to run for long enough roflol
