correct offset for 7.5x17" wheel's 4x4 saph?

as above. what should be the correct offset for a set of 7.5 x 17" alloy's? would it be et40??

so would i need a spacer or is it a case of getting the wheel's machined down a bit?

They will sit further in slightly but not sure it would be that noticable to be honest.

so i could space them out slightly then? i had 17's on a while back an the handled like a turd. lost the back end at silly speed's goin round a corner. i took them off the next day.. i dunno what off set they were tho. they were a multifit alloy that i got for paintin a m8's car. but the wheel's i've just got are aparently off a 4x4 saph. just waitin on them turnin up so i can get them on..
