We are organising a track day at mallory park - nice short circuit

November 15th Satuday 9.30 till 4.00

45 Car open pit lane....

Normal 98db noise limit...

So any big boys up for it...

Yes mate - you get a full years membership the same as every RS owner - plus you get to go to other RS events such as national day and maybe other track day next year.

tiff what camera do you use ?
what would you recommend for a begginer ?
i want to be able to manually set things on it like exposure time and all what you think ??

Have a look at the canon EOS DSLR range........they are all manually operated ect so you can get the shots you want

I use a Canon EOS 10d as i really like the feel of this unit

I use a Nikon D50 Jimbo, these are pretty cheap but still have all the manual controls, not the best camera in the world but ample for panning shots like this:

Yes j1mbo, thats the one, what a bargain at that price if its in good order!

Yes it does shutter speed select, thats how I took the blurred background shot of that BMW, by setting a slow shutter speed then panning the camera to stay focussed on the car so it stays still as the background blurs.

It was April 2007 mate, easter 2006 I was far too busy crashing my own E30 at the ring to take pics of anyone else's

I dont know who it is, was just showing JJ how to do panning shots as we were spectating.

jimbo go for a nikon d80. that will be fine for now

then go for real good lense. maybe one of there 75-200mm lenses with a 2.8 appreature.

d80, theye like 400 ££

the d50 is cheaper and by the sound of fings wud do me fine !

i dont wanna spend lots on it tbh !!

chip..........could be........i have a vid of me on my first ring lap...........and a grey M3 type thing goes flying past me..........i put my foot down to try and catch up...i do a bit, but then i havn't got a clue and the BM fooks off..............the only way to show u would be to take a vid of it playing on the telly and post it......(but i dont have a VHS any more)

Would be great to get some footage of it if it was us.

Here's a picture with the Reg, and showing the car a bit better, if you could have a look next time you are near a VHS that would be spot on
