Default Ever had a job that took alot longer then u thought it would?

Had to valet a chrysler voyager today, as soon as it turned up tuesday pm, the car dealer jumped out and said: "i will pay more for this one" so stuck my head in and low and behold it was hanging---BADLY. anyways i love a challenge but after 7 hours i thought the £55 i charged him to Hard mop, then fully valet it seemed cheap lol anyone else had anything like this happen?

cheers Statey

Had loads of jobs like that, last one was service a dental chair, usually takes me around 3 hours, this one took 7 and i still couldn't clear one of the faults!

It was one of those jobs you just had to walk away from and go back later.

I once offered to do a crankcase inspection on a Wartsila Diesel. Was supposed to be a 3 hour job. Discovered the crank was bowed and had to change it. Took me 2 weeks.

umm.. everyday i get jobs that take longer than they should,.. or rather longer than expected!

report will come in saying there is a very simple problem with a machine...
get to site and either;

1: said machine is close to being a write off lol

2: some manager type or other will appear saying 'oh while you are here,
could you look at this too'

agggh!!!

Always.

Went to network a printer the other day, should have taken 5-10 mins, ended up taking an hour as I had to rewire half the network.

Keeps you on ur toes tho, and would be boring if it was ALWAYS plug n play
