Currently i'm putting a 2.9 24V Saff together. The the old engine and a 12v v6 i got for parts to do the conversion sat infront of the saff on the drive, very hard to see from the road way that passes. Everything is covered over so you can't see what it is. But still some twat has lifted the spare 4x4 box i had
I'm getting pissed off, constantly being asked if i have any scrap and now having the box stolen has just topped it off.

Anyway yesterday a neighbor saw a car go up the drive and turn around and a lad got out and had a look at the bits infront of the car. Innocent look ???
Well i have there number and tried to find out more but its not showing S976NDP.

I do have a surprise waiting for them on there return

I had a scrap engine stolen from my front yard. Bit of a shame cos i wanted to weigh it in.

I had 3 engines and 2 boxes stolen from my drive way. Got the reg no.,found the truck, phoned the police, heard fook all.
I am going to apply for the logbook of said truck, and see if i get it. Then i will go to mr pikeys house and remove MY truck. Job done.

Did a crime report to the police and they asked if i wanted victim support. Don't think they liked my reply "No but if i chatch the they will"

Its not just you, I had a load of stuff stolen off my drive today - an old fucked combi boiler, knackered radiator from an L200, 4 shockers for an E36 + springs, a bent alloy wheel and some other random shit - fucking pikeys been round looking and snooping on everyones drive according to neighbours

with all the building going on in china/Saudi has pushed up the scrap value of all metals
Every job i go to were i am removing the old "Crittle" windows, i always put on at the front of the Customers drive.
Sure enough, Joe Gippo will turn up and offer a "good price" and to be honest i am glad as it saves me having to load it all up and take it away myself
Just finished a Job on a School in Enfield were i was changing huge windows. Ol Joe Gippo must have thought all his Christmases at come at once as we let him on site to take away all the 24 2.5 metre windows away for free as long as he swept the playground around were we were working and did not ask us to help him load up
Another bunch turned up one day and asked if they could take the scaffolding away that was erected around the Chimney and "weigh it in" because they said they had been watching it and it had been there for two weeks so it must be scrap as no one was working on the chimney

i took four cav gsi wheels with 2 fucked tyres out back of my van put them behind my house with a cat converter and low and behold the smelly gypsy rotting tipper driving twats had been round and pinched em i hate gypsys i wish they would leave what isnt theres alone. or ask and i would of sorted them some scrap out

So how much is scrap metal worth at the mo?

 

i have mates who do scrap and they are telling me its well down and the reason is china stopped all smog related buisness when the olympics were on and that slowed everything. soon as they said that i thought there was no real problems with smog during the events, but somthing like a corsa is 60 quid collected,80 quid delivered
