I've been offerred a 1800 zetec engine, its on a pallet and wrapped up. The guy told me it is the 130bhp version and has given me a money back offer if its not a good engine when installed. My question is how do I know its not the 105 version..? I can see RDA stamped on the head but this could be either engine yes......??

 

105 = Rda, 130 = Rqb


the cams are also different on the 130ps, profiled more than the 105...

 

the inlet manifold is also different but I can't remember the 3 letter code on the back of it!
