what differences is there to cossie parts like front and rear diff ratios and suspension, would the xr4x4 parts be any good for a cossie conversion into another car,are the front diffs different between the xr and cossie or would i need a cossie front diff for the sump,if i used a cossie front diff would i also need to use a cossie rear diff, any help is much appreciated
there area few different ratios available in the xr4x4 model. the diffs all fit to cossie sumps and the running gear is fundamentally the same.
Few differences like rack and suspension rates are different.
What is it your actually trying to do? if you explain what your hoping to acheive and what power you are after I can probably shed a bit more light on which parts to use.
Cheers

2.9 xr diffs are the same as a cossie
same front and rear propshafts
2.0 xr4x4 uses the same gearbox, just fork leaver is different
gear box cradle and engine cradles are the same
front roll bars are the same
rears are different
front and rear hubs are different
rear driveshafts are the same
brakes are different
front driveshafts are longer on the xr
suspension im unsure, possibe stiffer springs on the 2.9 xr due to weight of engine
external pump models, tanks are the same
possible other bits aswell

im converting my escort estate to 4wd or rwd and have been offered a 2.9 xr4x4 rolling shell so im going to cut the tunnel and suspension mounting points out of the shell,as its a rolling shell it will have a lot of the parts on it already but im not sure about the front diff if it will be on the car or not so if i decide to go 4wd i might need to get a front diff
