Need to do an oil change on my toledo this weekend but its a bit different to the ford i have as its a cartridge type filter. Im unsure how to get the filter out though as it seems to have a nut type fitting which is bigger than any socket or spanner ive got. Any ideas?

what year and what engine?

 

not sure of the size but if you get the socket on it should undoe ok. pull the cartridge out and put the new one in the same way. dont forget to fit the new seal if theres one supplied

36mm socket from underneath iirc. will piss oil all over you !

 

Yep undo with big spanner (or grips) and replace cartridge and replace both seals.
