How does this system actually work as i have a problem with mine. Running a P8 i have been told that i donot need a driver fitting as it already has the protocols inside and it has been switched on. I get how the idea works but how do the ignition amps link to the ecu and coil pack. i know that each amp runs each side of the coil but what gives them this signal.

 

the signal is controlled by the p8 ecu pin 24 and 25 are standard, pin 24 and 26 are for the second ignition amp, 24 is common 25 and 26 are the trigger signals
