EFI - MFI
MFI = Mechanical Fuel Injection (standard escort rs turbo engine management, works ok but is getting on a bit and can be unreliable)
Fifth injector ( crude way to supply additional fuel to crude engine management )
EFI = Electronic Fuel Injection (Often used to refer to fiesta efi management, OFAB, OFAC - accurate, effective and mappable)

the fifth injector is often used by people running MFI with a lot of boost to provide enough fuel for the engine.
most EFI systems which include after market systems can be mapped to suit the specification of your engine, its this ability to be mapped that makes the car so much nicer to drive and better with regards to fuel consumption and reliability.
I run cossie management on my car which is a EFI based system
other efi systems are omex, gotech, pectel, megasquirt dta and i expect many others I cant remember

so if your running EFI then you don't need a 5th injector?
What does OFAB, OFAC stand for?
Also a EFI set up is better than MFI. When i get one what am i better looking for. Would prefer turbo chatter rather than a DV so which would be the better setup?

If you want turbo chatter you need EFI as the metering head of MFI muffles the sound.
OFAB and OFAC is the EFI management found on later front wheel drive fords which is a popular conversion and can be mapped to suit your engine specification however there are lots of other alternative management systems available which are even more capable such as the management found on Cosworths which I run on my little escort
I would consider talking to a tuner you use and take advise regarding what they have experience with mapping. Every system has good and bad points but in only as great as the mapper.
Having said that im happy with cossie management
