Default 310 bhp @ 11.9 psi Boost Now With Graphs

Had the car on a set of Dyno Dynamics Rollers last night.

Put the car on low boost as the fans weren't massive.

It made 310 bhp & 276 lb ft torque

More than happy with that as on the road high boost peaks at 22psi and drops to a holding 17 psi.

Just got to get the lifters and valve springs uprated and I'll be able to get the mapping finished off. Roll on 2 Bar of boost.

I'll post the graphs up later on when I go to my garage.

Hope you like.

Massive thanks to Stu, Will and Kenny at Motorsport Developments. Car runs like a dream.

What's the engine spec? I would assume that power figure was at a fairly high engine speed at such low boost?

I think the peak power was at 4800 rpm. I'll go get the graphs in a bit and try and post them up. It'll explain better.

peak power at 4800rpm? sounds like the turbo is way too small then?

I'd best go get the graph before I commit to that.

300bhp in a fwd car is nothing to be sniffed at!!.. 300bhp in a 2L engine at only 11psi seems veeeeeeeeery efficient! Every zetec turbo i've seen has needed 19-20psi (on a t34) to do that

It's running a GT30.

Scanning the graphs in now. I have one for the AFR's too. I'll scan that aswell. They really are spot on the AFR's.

With only 276ft/lb's this would be impossible. Even at 5800 it would be at a push, i'd guess peak torque at 4800 peak power at 6300.

I was just going to say is this on a GT30, they always make VERY good power at low boost levels.

Out of interest, surely you tried it on a higher boost level?

Was it purely because the fan's were small you didn't push harder, did you monitor AIT etc?

I think it would, looks like they lifted at around 6300, it really needs another 1000rpm's IMO to have a nice wide powerband. Could probably do with a set of cam's or more agreesive cam's and some more boost.

Shaping up nicely and certainly a nice place to be starting from, your engine appears to be very efficient.
Working your power backwards to atmospheric preassure it works out to around 170bhp which for a turbocharged motor(with the obvious restrictions) is no mean feat

It would be nice to think that with the above done and with things shaping up the way they are that at 2bar you'll be closer to 500bhp than 400bhp, good luck

What size exhaust housing have you got?

Something is making it peak dead low, cams, exhaust housing, something.

At mo you got a 2000rpm powerband.
