Good thing IMO.

Tattoos when small and subtle and can be covered can be quite nice, but anything that shows too obviously can look awful in my opinion.

Good luck!

a friend of mine has several sittings of lazer to remove a band around his wrist, Ł60 a time somewhere in ipswich. he went no kidding about 10 times and yeh it faded but blime Ł600 by this time and it was still there!!! also he said the pain was pretty bad, also the swelling i see for myself afterwards and look painfull just looking at it..surely you are better of getting a good tattoist to cover it up!!!!
especially if its just a wrist band...
i have had some crap tattoos covered up in the past so i can relate, but if you can get good a tattoist all will be fine!
i have many a good tattoo by this guy and he was my best man at my wedding..
give him a call!!

Foxy - i am going to the only laser place in ipswich so it must be the same place!!!

my band is arounf the top of my arm, so bigger than ia wrist.

I normally go to grin n wear it in lakenheath, or i had my big back piece done by chris in bury st edmunds, but that was over 11 years ago now!

also, the thing that worries me, is, the ink in my arm is 12 years old, wont that make it harder to shift??

There's an institute called the Wake Forest Institute in North Carolina for Regenerative Skin Treatment. It's basically like getting a skin graft, but you're not taking skin from you a** or legs - these guys actually grow the skin for you. First you have to give them a sample of your skin, which they then replicate. Once that's been done, they sew it on - and it's seamless."

THEY SEW IT ON LOL and hes paying to get this done ...

NICE

Ooooh it works though a friend has had several sessions to remove some from his ear/face. After about 5 sessions they have completly gone.

As for the removal of tan, a hot bath some baby oil, capful of oven cleaner and a week of work

Possibly remove the tattoo aswell

Not sure on the exact name of the place but just a local Portsmouth based centre I believe. (Il find out)
I would imagine they use the same techniques at most practices as fairly new thing as a walk in walk out service.

These were about 12 years old and from the first treatment they faded slightly, then the second and third the ink was broken down so in areas it was clear. Then the final treatement these went completly.

I think i saw yours at Ford Fair and i would imagine that would go failry easily.

Maria Don't think you will have scar free, as there will be some scaring, as using a laser does damage to the skin and not just the top layer, as the have to do it a few times to remove the INK..upto you really but if you find a really good tattooist then they will cover it up fine

No you had not seen me, I was talking with Wayne and Alex from Pro Alloy for a short while and saw you sat by Martoons car.

You were in deep converstion so did not want to interupt with a game of whos-whos.

Best of luck for your consultation Wednesday, perhaps il say hello at National Day. Will you and Porkie be present ?

Just spoken my mate via msn, he said he was also very sceptical but went ahead with the first session to see how it went. For him an improvement was made and visable within a week without too much pain, likened it to a strong sunburn like sensation.

They tell you the good and the bad in the first consulation and warn of problems blisters etc in the worst cases, this being dependant on skin types and locations of tattoo's.
I.e If your fair haired and very sensitive its more than likely going to hurt!.

cool, well sid (sids skin) used to work at grin n wearit for 6 years, now set up on is own....as for chris hes good to, my mate (paul hanks) thats his uncle..what a small world we live in hey...as for the 12 years part the longer the better i think.. when my mate went his tattoo was only about 4 weeks old no lie. they said being so fresh it will take longer but when i see it after 10 sessions it only looked faded to me..

Maria, get Porkchop to fly you to the states, first class of course, get Kat Von D to cover up your armband and fly home after taking in some shopping in New York.

Its either that or go to Ipswich and have some one laser your arm, charge you almost as much as a Kat Von D tattoo and you'll have a sore arm for months as well as a funny pale band around your arm

Hmmmm Kat Von D Tattoo OR the Ipswich Ray Gun.....
