Top water hose, internal size?

Top water hose, internal size?
This hose:
Someone know the internal size of the hose or have one out of the car for meassure it? I´m gonna buy a gauge adaptor... and if somebody know the size will help me a lot.
It is the correct place for put the sensor? I think the bottom hose will give false readings of the engine temperature...
