True to Leach's ST mission statement, the ST170's chassis benefits from a few modest but extremely well executed changes. Obviously the larger tyres play a major part in the ST's increased road-holding and sharper handling, but so too do ten per cent stiffer springs and larger diameter dampers. Amazingly the anti-roll bars remain unchanged from the stock Focus, save for some rear bushing tweaks, whilst the steering benefits from special gearing and a new pump that provides less assistance at higher revs.
I hope this helps,

Benni.

hi well the quote above didn't list the source, or say what focus was compared with, IE 1.4L 1.6L 2.0L or if its the same on all years, i assume it was a 2L to st comparison, only looked as some one asked me on another site,
and have noticed alot of people saying every thing on the focus is the same on all focus- when its not, so would rather people give stats that can compair,
like shocks some focus may have parts same as st, maybe on the sport and some models but do many different shocks from a 1,4-2.0L 0r diesel they all fit and look the same doesnt always mean they are
