some serious machinery there,
learnt a fair bit.


1 thing i did notice was the amount of work gone into heat/air flow.
lots of heat wrap, vents, holes.... got me thinking
99% of them have turbo jackets (might be time to invest)

and 1 other thing, they all ran dump valves, but they didnt sound gay? what ones are they?

thoroughly enjoyed myself, cant wait for the next one.

by far the best "show" (if you can call it that) that ive been to.

Indeed Zen Won, Olly clark was 3rd, but was amazed by the car

Warren was 17th iirc, not sure where tommy was

 

yeah zen was 1st with oli clark 2nd

 

tommy dropped out with driveshaft failure and somebody brought the wrong spares along so he was out, was struggling with understeer all day but had just changed geometry to see if he could improve when the shaft gave up,

 

you either couldnt hear em over the other noise or was hearing other stuff, all dump valves sound almost the same.

most run dog boxes etc so gearchanges are so fast youd not hear em like you do on a road car, and with induction and exhaust noise that loud, its even less likely.

i love fords to death really wanted the field car to kick some ass but... zen, rc, roger clark cars we just way quicker... warren went really well imo some of the amateur class cars are bonkers ? and look more suited to the pro class..

awesome day apart from all the maxpower type gayness lol

 

zen and clark and rc cars were in a different league it seemed, PROPERLY quick

 

ollie clark looked silly quick


was lighting all the wheels up out of paddock

 

The Zen car is still running a stock 2.5 bottomend too IIRC.

 

Had a fantastic day Warren got into the final was struggling to gain any time all day then we found the car was only running 19psi all day no matter what boost setting it was on ,gutted in a way but happy to know he made the final, running on what was less than half boost

 

yeah the scoobies did seem to be running very well all day.
popular choice for TA too.
rc developments cars were also very quick.
