imo spurs not to win a major trophy with in 2 years to start getting a bg income in as they are spending milions and millions at the mo!spendings as much as they and not winning nothing big does not do the bank much good!

IMO Bent is just the player we need, he has pace, can head and finish better than Andy Cole who is the PL all time 2nd top scorer after Shearer and he did ace for us. It's a shame people give him stick because of the Ł16m but i guess they don't realise that it's not based on what other players like a 29 year old Thierry Henry were in the market but what his club (Charlton) valued him as and would only let him go for.

He's done well from what I've seen. It was good for football with Spurs winning a trohpy (especially against Chelski) and good luck to the next season as you were unlucky in the Uefa cup and played good football.

keane going was a bit of a dent

berbatov being eyed up by that scottish fella is another worry

but an individual player does not a team make, so lets see what the new season brings eh

 

spurs will do well this season but you cant expect nothing off this result as roma have probably only just started their pre season as the italian league runs couple of weeks behond the prem iirc and if so are a couple of weeks behind them fitness wise.

a blinding result tho. bentley scored a screamer and should hopefully become a better player this season playing with better players etc.

saying that though spurs will only be a cup team again this season and probably for a few seasons to come. breaking into that top 4 is a hell of a task nowadays. will take another abramovich type to catapult one of the other 16 teams into it imo as spurs and all the other teams are just feeder clubs for the top 4.

 

good result....but even as a passionate fan that i am we need to keep our feet on the ground and see how the start of the season starts
