Default Uprated ERST clutch, AP options...opinions please!

AP rate both their uprated clutch kits, the paddle and the organic, to the same torque. I've heard people say the organic can't take over 200bhp very well. Does anyone have either of them to help me out? I'd rather have the driveability of the organic clutch, and its lower price, if it's going to hold the power properly!

Any feedback would be great Thanks.

Posted this in General first, probably a bad idea!

Ok cheers for that. Have you had an organic clutch or are you going by what you've heard?

had an ap paddle and it only lasted 6 months it will take the power though, I was putting 260bhp through mine From what I've heard the organic tends to hold less power and can slip with over 200bhp. I went for an Alcon 6 paddle this time, a bit more expensive but should last longer and the pedal feel is so much better ! Hope this helps

ive got a AP 4 paddle, you can make it feel alot lighter by doing a pedal conversion from a mk5 or mk 6 escort from what i can remember

i didnt do this on mine as i have no problem with how it feels anyway

mines lasted fine but i havent used it daily but its fine when in town or when out for a blast

Cheers for the feedback once more Think I'll go with the 4 paddle for now, then if/when that lets go (will only have access to the car about 4 or 5 months of the year) I'll go Alcon. Only 200-220bhp though, so shouldn't be such a strain on it. Thank you all
