door glass, i've got the pads to fit the glass into the runner, but how the fcuk do oyu do it
i'm guessing they are interference fit, but having had to clean up a shit load of glass already i don't fancy beign too violent

the guy who supplied me it said to glue it in with stika flex or similar, but no way would that get it in straight!

 

You have to mark the glass with a marker when you line the glass up in the door, then turn the glass upside down and use hammer to tap the bracket onto the glass(with rubber inbetween). Sounds naughty using hammer but thats the way to do it mate. You only use silca if the rubber piece between glass and bracket is fooked mate, hope this helps

Thats right - get the mech in the widest point position, mark the glass up, remove runner, turn glass upside down, and tap runner down using a hammer - gently!

 

forgive me, the widest point position, do you mean about halfway down?

 

i marked it up and now cannot get the glass more than halfway into the runner
i've had three goes at it, i even resorted to stiking the pads to the glass then tapping the runner on, stil won't go beyond halfway, am fooked off now

 

You have probs got glass stuck in runner mate, run a flat head screwy down runner should sort it for you fingers crossed

How do you get the glass out the door thrush? I need to strip my doors for paint..windows fully up and off the car

 

if there electric connect a 12volt suply to the wires that usually go the switch just touch them on to start with as 1 way will make the window go up and the other down once you know your going the right way hold it on untill the windows at the height you want.

 

glass comes out of the doors at an angle, they will come out vai the outside edge not the inside, take the window nearlly all the way down, pop it off the runner wheels at the bottom, then tilt and slide upwards.

 

i bashed it halfway on as far as it would go and filled it with selant... i now have a window again... but ibinned the door cards so the list of trim in the car is ever decreasing... down to dash front seats and front carpet
