I didnt think they were compatible.
1600i has ball joint type ends that screw into the tension strut, S1 turbo has rod ends instead.
IIRC MEF make the two different types, i.e not a one size fits all item, so i reckon they are different...

Yes, the ball joint is different, but the strut itself is same on one side. RS1600i has both threaded as RH thread, but the S1 has a LH and RH struts threaded separately.

Im sure the 1600i threads are both left hand? (Because im still scarred from recently fitting two to my car) Which would still make one of the struts the sameThread
