Thumbs up My road trip through Wales

Briefly it went like this starting in Beer, East Devon. I came off the M4 near swansea, over the Black mountain (in thick fog) then went to Tregaron, Aberystwyth, Devils bridge before camping in LLanuwchllyn near Bala. The next day I went up around Ffesteniog, Conwy Falls and onto LLangolen via the beautiful Horse Shoe Pass. Then after a wrong turn I headed for home down eastern Wales, accross the black mountains and back onto the M4 to home.

In all 730 miles of enjoyable motoring

lol no not really, but for me its 150 odd miles just to get off the m4 at Swansea. I had the week off and it was something I been meaning to do for a while, so I got on with it. Well worth all the fuel burnt as the roads up there are so much better than in England in every way, plus they are alot quieter. The Evo triangle was amazing, with some wide open sweepers where you can cut the croners, to the steep wooded section near the village

Why do you think the WRC have a stage here? You should really spend more time up North Wales next time, around Snowdon. Some amazing roads here

Superb roads who gives a fock about petrol prices when you can have a blast around roads like that, i must admit i'm only down the road from Swansea i think i'll give that area a going myself. Roll on December when the WRC return..

Yea im goona go back up north wales later in the year and do it all again. Ive been banging on to my mates for the last few days, saying how great some of the roads are so they want to try them for themselves. Only trouble is I dont think the rallying I did on the gravel track has done the car much good as theres a loud knocking noise when I turn to the left at speed

Coziboy: yea someone else pointed that out to me as well, its well weird, but kind of cool in a way. Strange thing is though in the first few shots I took of the fall its no there!
