Hi the fuel gauge in my saff cossie has a mind of its own,can be settled one minute then its seems to move a few millimetres very quickly even though i'm driving on a straight piece of road? could this be a dodgy sender? don't want to pull the tank off to find its not the cause? she's a facelift model

 

Sounds like a dodgy earth. Had exactly the same on mine then it would work intermitently, then stopped all together.

The connections sit on top of the fuel tank. Not a difficult job to drop the tank, then just pull the connector off and clean it up. Mine was all corroded. Solved the problem for me.
