I was going through the steps last year of claiming my bank charges back, but then it got put on hold due to the banks putting the claims on hold as they went to the high courts. Does anyone know if they won the case and is it worth me putting in for it again??
I dont want to start the steps again if there still in the middle of fighting it in courts.
Has anyone got theres back recently??
If so, how long did it take?
I was keeping an eye on the consumercorner website but that seems to be down.

i got over Ł800 back, It all started when i went 4p overdrawn, Took nearly a year tho.

 

case is meant to finish december time i think....
I sent me letter off to em, got the 'it shall be delayed' bollocks.
Popped down to me solicitor and he's doing it now, as far as i can add up they owe me a couple of grand. I thought a letter from a solicitor might scare em into paying up.... will let u know it were only last week i seen him,

And yes, i am shit at managing my account.

 

Everything is on hold pending the case between OFT & Banks.
If anyone puts in a claim now, it will automatically be placed on hold.

Last I heard in the case was the unfair charges do apply to current accounts, so the next step is to discover whether they are in fact "unfair".

Banks will probably appeal the first bit as well to drag it out. There won't be a resolution this year.

 

A had a company called me for weeks saying they were dealing with loads of cases and winning. They wanted Ł50 which would be refunded with the charges. Thought it maybe a con so never went thro with it .

Anybody else had this ?

Don't pay anyone anything,especially Ł50. You get the forms on line,pay a tenner to the Bank, and if you're getting anything refunded,you will get it all- not a refund less further costs to some twats who just fill in the forms for you. They can't, and don't do anything you can't do yourself. Plus it's still on hold as someone else said, but that doesn't stop you putting in a claim now.

 

Am with you thats why a never paid or gave any card details.
Ave filled in the forms and had the replys last year. Its only a couple of hundred so no to bothered
