one of my all time hates
it gets me even more when the start ranting as you undertake them

i have on many ocasions got in front & slowed to a crawl just to piss them off more than they piss me off

 

undertaking is perfectly ok in such circumstances followed by mouthing "pull over then" and pointing to the side if they then feel the need to abuse you .

 

At least im not alone on this one lol

 

I dont even hesisate to undertake people anymore for this exact reason!

 

your not ive been going up and down the a5 (partly dual carraigway)as part of work for 3 weeks and partly on the m1. They all do it

 

on my way home from silverstone last week the inside lane was compleatly empty & the trafic in the outside lane was travling at 60 everyone wante to be in the outside lane as the olds would say its the fast lane

 

Happens all the time to me like this morning at 4am on my home from work i wont undertake any more as got nicked for it a few years ago

if you are in the middle or inside lane & someone is travling slow in the outside lane then you are ok to go past as that lane is travling slower can you imagen the havoc if you couldnt go past on the inside in traffic thats why i stick to the middle or inner lane if i can & if someone is behind me i move over

 

I was in the inside lane come upto a car in the middle lane cars going past in the outside lane and i went past in the inside lane and i got pulled over and had to go court got 5 points and a Ł280 fine

That's a bummer as you've shown good lane disciplne and making good progress.
In a hgv you'd have no choice but to do this.
You've made no lane changes by sound of it, so not overtaken on the inside.
I always do this, always worried I'll be seen as in the wrong for driving correctly though...

as said,unless you move into another lane,you are mearly travelling with the flow of traffic in your lane.

tbh without speeders,overtakers and undertakers this country would grind to a holt. fact! its the differing speeds that keep it all flowing as well as it is(which aint that good)

 

I drive hgv's every day, am I supposed to sit in lane 1 with 100's of wagons behind me, at whatever speed the idiot car driver in lane 2 chooses?
Ridiculous people being done for showing good lane discipline, it's the lane hoggers who want dragging off the roads.
Since petrol prices went up have noticed I'm overtaking a lot more cars on the motorways too, fucking idiots.

 

i agree.i'd love to be a traffic cop. i wouldnt be pulling people for doing 80 85 with good driver disipline.or modded cars
i'd be after the lane hoggers and the smoking rusty shitters with bits falling off etc

I was going to work the other day which is about 10 mins up the road. Some arse hole in a celica gt4. He came flying up my arse and then i had to slow down cause there was this big bump in the road which i drove round.He started flashing his lights at me then sitting on my arse again. I turned the corner and then he beeped at me.What a tit. It was just one of those jap cars vs cossies moment i think.

 

he was annoyed as you slowed down.he is in a genuine rally car aint he! he wouldve jumped it!

 

"stick to middle or inner"?

i find middle hoggers just as anoying as the fast lane hoggers.

You should drive in the left lane at all times and only move into the faster ones to overtake.

i cant stand people who do 70 in the middle lane when theres on one in the slow.

the driving instructers should put more emphasis on roundabouts and motorway/2-3 lane A road driving as clearly 80% dont seem to know how to us them.

Pisses me right off too. Usually undertake, as I am "the flow of traffic". Some people wake up after that, most seem to stay in their own little world.

Plenty of mid lane cruisers on the M5 on Thursday on the way back from Weston.

 

This really gets me fucking annoyed

people's attiudes are shit - I don't understand the need to inconvience other people and then get all shitty about it if you want to do 50 then do 50 but if you get overtaken why speed up and get the hump nobody is making you do 50

and the lane closures on motorways, truckers think I know lets sit 3 abreast and block traffic because that will make it better it stops the traffic from filtering into 1 lane.

I was at a mates the other day talking about this subject and he was saying if somebody was overtaking him he'd pull out to stop them.... I nearly punched him in but manage to restrain myself and explained that his actions makes him a cunt and went on to explain if he did that to me I'd pull him out of his car he was a little shocked

I think we should go on that site for bad drivers and spam it with all the pricks that don't obey basic road manners and the ones that don't launch it off the lights

 

i actually dont mind that tbh.as i hate the fact you sit in the traffic waiting to filter in then somefucking cock monkey thinks "cant be bothered to sit behind all those that have sat there for ages so i'll jump to the front"

its like queue jumping at a hot dog stand or something,but people do it more in a car as theres less chance they will get a beating

 

I was driving home last nite at about 1am, there was a smeghead in the middle lane and no one else around and i was in the inside lane, i came level with her rear bumper, waited of about a minute, then pull into her lane then into the outside lane, over took her pulled in front of her and then back into the inside lane, all as close as i could so not to scare her into anything stupid but enough to make her think, she got the idea, i was using the blinkers all the time as well cos that is another thing that pisses me off.

 

Another one is why do people do 40/50 in a 60? where i live in derbyshire they have just put the speed down on most of the good roads from 60 to 50 A515, Snake pass, cat and fiddle (the last two have been like that for a couple of years) and quite a few others. This has now made the speed of traffic about 45 cos people don't want to get cought speeding. Yet all the way along these roads you have narrow single track roads with national speed limit signs on, where's the common sense in that
