Default Crystal Blue Ford Sierra Sapphire Cosworths

How many Crystal Blue Ford Sierra Sapphire Cosworths were manufactured in this colour in the uk?

I'm told that Sapphire Cosworths were only painted in this colour in 1988 only. Is this true?

the colour was made from jan 88 to july 88 well thats what ive found due to having chassis numbers to a fair few crystal blue sapphs.

it is by far the best sapph and i personally think fords best metallic colour made.

It was also one of the three original Sapphire colours - The other two were Diamond White and Mercury Grey.

It's a special colour mate, and you'll be joining an elite little group of Sapphire owners

Mine was registered in October 1988 at Merthyr Tydfil, but was built in March 1988

It's a lovely colour and Sapphs do look great in it which begs the question why did Ford only produce them in that colour for such a short space of time?
