Default cold starting

now its not causing a problem but most mornings when i go to fire her up she takes a good few turns to get her going then she idles a bit rough till i give it a few revs, now its a mk5 escort with a rs turbo lump in, i never used to have the problem but i noticed just under the cold start valve is a brown plug that goes to the block now i noticed the wires have come out i think ones brown and white and the other is black and yellow i think. could this be the problem ? thanks for any help

Brown is the Thermo Time Switch I believe. That controls the air going in the AAV into the back of the inlet based on the information it gets from water and air temp.

Thermo Time Switch provides the earth connection for the cold start injector. For cold mornings you need this working!!
