Default Any downsides to running a Turbo inlet restrictor?

Im running a T34 with a 34mm restrictor on my track cossie, what effect will leaving the restrictor on have on the power, torque, drive and feel etc of the engine, will it reduce power or strangle the engine etc. Im planning on having an adaptor made up to remove it and to fit my filter but want to know what effect it will have before I do anything

the downside is it will be restricted, however i, assuming thats its mapped to run the restrictor so it will need re mapping when you take it out.

Why would you run a restrictor unless regs specified that you had to?

The turbo has one fitted at the minute as its Maram shafted ALS etc etc, Im planning to remove it ASAP but wanted to know how it would feel to drive with it on V with it off. Ive only driven the car once so far so cant compare till its on the road again

send it to harvey at scs and he will bore it out for you and should have a chip for you so it does not have to be remapped too !
and you keep the rally restrictor look which i think is ace!!
