three door electric window winder question
I bought some electric window winders for my three door, (mine were manual). They were advertised as three door ones but am not sure. So first of all I want to make sure I have the right ones..
What do the proper electric winders look like, do you have a pic ?
Assuming I have the right ones, I find I am guessing on the mount position, does anyone have a door apart that you have the measurements of holes to mount these please.
Thanks
Gavan

I did some more work on this today, I made up a mock door on a panel... see below, and figured that it worked best with the dimensions shown with the guide 400mm from the pivot and horizontal. Mapping that onto the door you will see that I think I have worked out where it mounts... However without an electric window door I am not 100% sure..
The mount holes for the motor winder (4 of em) dont line up with the manual holes so I need to drill new ones (thats what got me asking you guys initially). I have included a second picture of my door with where I think it mounts.
If you are able to confirm the location of mount holes and hopefully measure the distances to see if the same and give me your estimation of where the mount holes for the motor winder are as well as the distance of the guide holes from the bottom of the door would be great...
Thanks for having a look..

Hey - sorry about falling off the face of the earth - going to look at beam later this week to get measurements (it is at a mates place about 1 hour from home and I am working some rediculous hours at the moment).
Are you sure that I just cannot post you a trailing arm as it might be a bit easier?
I am stripping my electric windows out of my doors to fit perspex soon (got perspex windows on order from UK at the mo). You could have the mechs for free for a favour returned when I need it.
Hope your patient (Mark Keen had to wait 3 months for me to make him some brake bells and brackets - but I got there in the end).

Dont worry about it I worked it out... the holes are just in wierd spots especially after the manual ones were so nicely placed...
The holes in blue line up exactly... and now look obvious, I don't know how I missed them before..
The four manual holes are evenly spaced around the winder hole, the electric ones are circled in blue...

Hi Lincoln, I wondered where you got to, did you get those controller updates I sent ?
On the Group A trailing arm mods, Don't worry about that lincoln. I worked it out. I ended up with what I am pretty sure is the spot on setting. I made up one (of four mounts) and went to the next step of getting it approved (rather than asking what if). Which in itself is a sad sad story at the moment.
Before I started I had asked people who advised me saying you just need a ticketed welder to get approval and I had people who said they could do that. (Others said don't worry just do it ) I still have a few options in that area, however most of them just dissapeared once I had something made and they had to do it. They were well intentioned though but just did not have a way to give me a ticket that I can use, they were just going to say its ok which is not enough.
I got an engineer approved by dept of transport out, he said it all looked fine but that there was this huge paper trail and govt departments not wanting to take responsibility that would prevent me from getting my mounts approved regardless of how good they are.
So I am thinking that I will give up on the group A mods for the moment, hoping that someone / I will come up with a viable solution soon, I want to get the car painted.
Strangely enough I think that if I had a tag on them that they were made by a company in UK or somewhere they would probably have just accepted it... its all about covering your but. I am sure there is a solution but I just dont have it at the moment.
PM me or call my mobile 0439838477 if you have ideas on how to get this to the next step ...

Thanks for the controller info.
Might have a way - will ask a few people (I know x-raying gets the adjustable lower control arms through).
Did not think i would have a problem with rear beam - I think there is some law reasoning that if the rose joints are over $100 each (crazy isn't it)... but will look into it.
