Moderators,

Is it possible to moderate more progressively?

If you feel a post is overstepping the boundaries you could edit it and/or warn the person posting and if that doesn't work ban said person for a day or whatever time is it that you ban people for?

It's a real pain in the arse that threads disappear without warning and without explanation.

You could try reading the rules? Just a suggestion... Might help with a few of your questions and allow you to apply common sense? That statement is of course made with the presumption some common sense exists...

its a sad fact that people ruin it for others as far as threads and replies go as pointed out in the other thread the reason why i binned the lot and it still took a ban for people to take notice and in the circumstances a moderator cant win what ever action is taken , but as you see what you have comented on is the action i took andwill from now on , but usually try not to ban people

I am asking politely if the moderating style can be adjusting, therefor has nothing to do with not knowing the rules or not wanting to abide by them.

Jim, if someone volunteers for a job that still means they should try to do a good job at that.

As for mods never able to win: certainly can, I have huge appreciation for some mods and I am pleased to see that you made the effort for my thread Jay!
