Default Oil return hose?

Hey guys,

my oil return hose is leaking badly. Got a quote from my friendly Ford dealer which is a bit steep though, over 40 quid (50 odd Euro).

Has anyone ever used any universal aftermarket stuff? Anything special to recommend? It must be able to withstand quite some heat inside and out obviously. Don't think a regular breather pipe would last long.

CheeRS in advance!
Peter

Mines been leaking for ages. But on my mates RST it has disintegrated completely recently, leaving a nice long oil trace on the road. 40 quid for the hose + probably a few more hundred for the fire brigade that was then...

Also, in a worst case scenario, I can see the car go up in flames with the oil being splattered all around the hot downpipe if the hose fails completely all of a sudden...

Cheers mate. That's exactly what I've been looking for. I don't mind spending the money, just don't wanna through it out the window by buying an overpriced yet technically outdated Ford OEM part...

It might work fine, but oil degrades Silicone, so it won't last for long. I think people lose sight of what an important piece of hose this is, if it splits, it's not just the oil from the turbo you'll lose.

Usually it doesn't kill your engine as you get warned in time by the smoke and the flames...
