i removed mine a while ago and although not a lot different on tickover was way too loud hammering it... im sure it felt less responsive too.. had a smaller box back in the middle with a larger mongoose backbox and is much better....
Really?? so it felt down on throttle respone then?? Hmm, interesting that..
I'm just wondering whether it'd need the map checking too, might make it lean or summet..
Tony,
Did you notice any loss in performance woth yours removed, or was it removed when you bought it??
it might have just been the noise making it sound/ feel more sluggish felt sort of lazy...?
was too loud for me and im not that old yet either...
the old exhaust was scorpian with tiny back box tho... new mongoose backbox is twice the size...

That was interesting to listen to, my Scorpion is about the same noise on idle, WITH the centre box in, but noisier on revving, anyone got a vid clip of a Scorpion with centre box removed please ?

Two pipes with centre boxes either side of the prop, joining up at the single box at the rear. Like a pea shooter, good for stage 1 and no more I think.
my old saff had the middle box cut out ..
was ok on idle but when going for it was noisey as fook ,,couldnt even hear the radio over it..no chance of passing noise regs at donnington
fookin horrible ,, i put a new middle section back in..sounded much better imo

Staffi/Pete,
I've heard they are too, but not for 350bhp, so we love it
You could feel a slightly improved throttle responce after having it removed, or so it seemed anyway
You can ask markyd3 off here about the noise if you want a non-biased opinion, and he took his scorpion off cos he's :ghey: and doesn't want it too loud

Him and Pops were in the Saff and overtook me on a bypass local to us, and I wound down the window in my van, and my ears SERIOUSLY hurt, the noise was fooking AWESOME!!
It soon disappeared off into the sunset too, they'd got to the end of the bypass and turned around, floored it back the other way before I'd got to the end of it

Staffi ,scorpion exhaust are restrictive because of the middle box,has a reduced bore, have removed the middle box from my saff, dont know what exhaust is on it,but sounds a lotter sharper

Lol @ James....

Stu,
So basically then when you put it like that, removing the centrebox on ANY system will help, cus in theory you're making it less restrictive yes??
I always wonder whether it effects the mapping of the car, well the fuelling side of things..
