Exclamation flamer kits how do they work(S2)

tbh im really bored and was wondering how u would make a flamer kit on a series2....the way i would try would be buy a second ignition coil...run a +and a -....off the origanal ignition c....to the rear connect to the new coil...then drill a hole in the boot..or find a hole somewhere..then runs a long ht lead to the spark plug...is this correct if it is im a genuis lol...and u would have to put a switch in the negative wire...what u think would it work...or is there a better way to do it???also could this cause any damage 2 your car..apart from burnt bumpers?????????????????????????????????????????wi th it turned on how often would it flame awsell iv never seen one in action

wouldnt work

a coil only sparks once in a certain amount of time

the flamer kits have a control box to have the coil sparking constantly

Nah, if you take a signal from the earth side of the coil & it bein negative pulse it's make the engine miss & cut out !!

Which would incediently increase the effect of the flamer but at the cost of the engine !! lol

It mainly flames on the over run, but if you had a switch from your ignition coil it'd flame any time you put it on !! Mainly cos the engine missfiring due to no spark !! lol

Oh & it wouldn't really matter where you took the live from as the coil as a ignition switched live anyway & only discharges with the earth.

Don't do it !!

I know I'm probably in the minority on here but I love my flamer kit. The look on peoples faces as it spits a 2ft flame out the tailpipe is priceless.

As per cowboi. If you fit a proper one there is no reason for it to cause any damage as it's just burning off the fuel vapour that is present on the over run.

I would argue that you've paid for the damn fuel you want to burn all of it and get your moneys worth

Nothing wrong with them, Had one fitted to my car, but found out it done fuck all. LOL

Refitted another, and it made some bright colours behind my car down lanes while it pops and bangs, Each to their own I guess, I for one like 'em
