Default escort vans

on escort vans what does the 55 & 75 mean? We were having an argument at work today. I said its something todo with the weight it coud carry (couldnt remember what) everyone else was saying it was the bhp, which I know is wrong. Not sureif mine is right, but I deffinately know bhp is wrong.

Can anyone settle this please?

Cheers
