Default CRANK STRENGTH CVH

GOT a reground crank here from my S2. Im using accralite pistons and h section rods.
I cant afford a Farndon crank so heres my query.

How strong exactly is the CVH crank and whats its RPM Limit?
Should I be looking at a steel crank as I will be using aftermarket management where rpm limit can be set to 7500rpm

I think 7k-7.5 is the rev limit of the standard crank. Power limit would appear to be well over the 300bhp mark.

Emphasis on the standard though, I wouldn't use a crank that has been reground any more than 0.25mm IMHO, also what kind of shells are you gonna use?

I was told to use vandervell VP2's on mine, apparently they are one of the best on the market.

Why should it matter as long as they are lead based to soak up all the swarf. ACL are a well known company. VP2 sintered lead isnt it>?
I might give them a go who sells them?

I got mine from AGRA engineeering in Dundee, it was them that recommended them. Yeah VP2's are lead based. I have spoke to a few guys that run Pinto's in mk2's for rallying and that's what they use, so I recconed they were good enough for me! LOL
