Cool Ball&Spring style bleed valves (dawes?)

This is for those with first-hand experience of using normal bleed valves and the ball&spring locker type... sometimes called dawes devices (sheep mode)

I think chip you've used one of these?

Basically do the ball&spring valves give you a linear increase in boost? I'm trying to think of a cheap and nasty way to do it.. Need to increase from say 3psi to 7psi across the powerband.. only a small turbo, perhaps a T2 or GT15 type thing.

I've used a gated bleed valve & normal vent bleed valve.

I used the Dawes Device on my GT35 & was very good at increasing the boost a lil bit at a time as the dial is on a rachet so jus go a couple clicks at a time !!

Mine broke tho !!

Hope this helps
