What douse each stage consist of?
e.g. Porting,Cam,Bigger valves?

i dont think theres a written rule to what each stage is mate, diff people have diff views on how to do a ported head etc, one mans stage 3 could be another mans mildly tuned head.

Stage one can be a decoke and ports emery clothed to some people, to others the ports will be opened up to match your inlet but nothing else touched. Stage 3 being pretty universally a big valve head (though how big is up to the tuner). Get a Dave Baker head, he only does it one way, proper full on with valve sizes suiting the rest of your spec. Cam choice is down to you if you want it driveable or mental. No reason a properly sorted head shouldn't be nice to live with.

 

its all bullshit to make your engine sound impressive down the pub. i knew someone who was sold a 'stage 3' head, that was given 5 mins with a stone at the valve throat and that was it! wasn't even matched to the inlet manifold even though they had the lot!

a ported head is a ported head, without specific port sizes, flow rates or valve sizes, 'stage x' means fook all!
