been offerd a cheap 06 - 07 600 cc track bike ,
its in gud nick and wouldnt take much to put it bk to road spec,
question is it was never registerd from new, and as such dosent have a v 5 , or a frame number ?
i dnt belive its nicked and the bloke seems reputable
question is, if i got it would it be possible to regiser it ,
what would i need , be involved ?
any experiences , is it the same process as say registering a track car ?? ex race car ????

Generally because they've had a new frame due to damage, I personally wouldn't touch anything without a frame & engine number.
Every new road bike has a frame number, if it hasn't got one you need to find out why.
FWIW plenty of stolen bikes end up as track bikes.

You need to be finding out WHY it has no frame number to start with. If it was bought new unregistered it would still have frame and engine numbers, just not given a reg number.
It its not got one, and its definatly not been 'ground off', then it must have had a new frame at some point so obviously its been bouncing down the track at some stage. Nothing to worry about aslong as its straight now though. id be very wary though if the owner says he had it new with no numbers on though.
As said though, pleanty of nicked track bikes about, and im sure plenty of nicked track cars with no ID about too, but id personally want one thats got ID so you know for a fact your not riding around on a dodgy bike thats effectively someone elses.
