1 = thats the screwe im missing!!!
2 = is that the fuel metering unit?

Just going off what my mate said who i got it off like! ?

yes it is a metering head and a lot have thus screw missing

Do they? is it needed like? this is my 1st turbo you see not realy that familiar with much of the stuff under the bonnette!!

mainly for fueling setting up purpose not to be messed with unless u no what ur doing get for a simple setup to make shore everythin is ok and leave it alone mate be ok

That screw sets your Idle mixture, if it were missing i think you'd have a massive air leak and would be idling badly and running really lean. (someone correct me if i'm wrong)

Ive took the unit off anyway, just got back from rally equip bury with it. they just stuck a bolt init an said it will b ok? !

hmmm.

ive not even had the car running yet. il bang a post up to tell what its running like when done.

they do leak air if they dontr have a scew in them,stick ya finger over it and it make a difference, most have a bolt or such stuck in them

It must be airtight. The bolt is only there to make it airtight. The adjustment is a 3mm allen key underneath.

If you do block it with a bolt, and you should, then ensure its a every short one so as not to make contact with the adjuster screw.

this sets the idel mixture but has it got anything that sets the fuel when on full throttle as mine is runnig at around 14.0 afr on idle and about 11 on full boost which is abit rich in my opinion.

mk3cab no it doesnt have any effect on your on boost mixture, that is set by the EFPA (electromagnetic fuel pressure actuator) on the side of the metering unit(little black box).
Ideally you want to be seeing 14.5 to 15.0 on Idle/Light cruise, progressively dropping to around 11.5 (give or take a bit) on boost and at higher RPM's so your not far out.
Those figures came from C&B btw!
