Default TRYING TO SORT group buy - ZT BLACKTOP WATER PUMP

Right i am trying to sort a group buy on zetec water pumps for the black top engine to enable the use of a rear mounted alt and origional mounts but without power steering and air con.

This will be a reverse blade pump so that a simple belt arrangement can be used.

I have been given contact details of a person that makes the parts but he wishes to sell a batch rather than the hassel of posting a single one to the uk!

I know alot of people are now fitting black tops to their cars and this would greatly aid fitting of them.

The price of them is $160 plus the cost of postage and import duty (which i will try and negotiate to be sent as comercial samples to over come this part)

For this you get a new genuine ford water pump modified with a reverse impella blade fitted posted to your door.

If a min of 6 are ordered then there will be a discount of 15% and this looks to be negotiable if more than 6 are ordered so the more people buys the cheaper it gets for every one....

This will be posted on here, passionford and a few other ford forums to make it fair to everyone and also to try and decrease the cost as much as possible. If anyone can think of other forums that would be interested then please pass the details to me so we can roll this out as much as poss to get it cheaper for everyone on here.

Please note, i am not trading these before people say that i should be paying traders fee's. If people think i should be then this fee will have to be recouperated through the cost of the group buy as im not making anything out of this at all other than i can get a pump myself if others buy!

if a trader / engine builder on here wishes to get these to stock then i can order them for you or include this group buy in the order that you wish if that would also mean cheaper for everyone.

To quote the person supplying....

James,

I am beginning to get many inquiries from the UK regarding our pump.
Yes, we do produce an opposite rotation pump for the Zetec. Cost is
US$159.00, for a new ford pump with reverse impeller installed. I do not
know the exact cost of shipping to UK as we have only done this a couple of
times. Do you think it possible that your club or local supplier might buy
a small quantity of these at a discount? This would make shipping more
economical and provide an opportunity for someone at your end to profit.
Just a thought.

Cheers,

Keith

then the follow up email....

James,

Discount would of course depend on volume, but we could start the ball
rolling with a minimum of six units, at a 15% discount. Please let me know
if this is a good starting point for you.

Keith

So there you go, thats the exact emails that i have recieved and the discount info as of this present moment!

Hopefully this should be of use to people....

i'm interested, i'm just concerned about the water flow around the engine because of the way the pump housing is designed...

are there any pics of this available?

Just spoke to my Brother about this and the above guy supplied him with the same pump for $99 only 3 months ago.
It seems like he is now taking the pi$$ thinking he can sell them for so much more.

xrsi, my Brother will PM you when he gets in from work.
