will a series 1 box fit into a mk4? it will be getting bolted to a 1.8 zetec in place of its standard xr3i box...cheers

 

yes it will fit mate

 

It will bolt up to the engine alright but all the mounts themselves are in differant places.

 

goes straight in , ive got a mk3 box in mine

 

led to believe mine had one in a while ago and when they are in (which they do bolt in straight forward) you struggle to top the gear oil up and think i had to fill mine up through reverse switch but some others on here might know an easier way round this hope it helps mate

also i have a great mk4 lsd box willing to swap for a mk3 lsd one pm me
