hey guys, ive broken off side front driveshaft. does anyone know where i can get new ones from or reconditioned ones, ive tryed the owners club and they aint got none. any help would be greatfull.

Have you tried GGR?

 

Ford were doing a complete shaft & joints reconed for Ł225 ish on an exchange basis, but this was some time a go. You can get just the joints if thats all thats broken.

Broken in what way??

Snapped the shaft, pop out a joint, destroyed the tripod?

 

I have a complete one, or tripod (new) and outer CV joint (new) .

 

i destroyed the tripod, and the end of the shaft looks sheared!

 

mike how much for the new one mate? there is some on ebay but i dont really want to chance buying them!

 

A new tripod is Ł50 (genuine Ford) and the drive shaft you can have for Ł25 + Ł10 delivery .

Or you can have the second hand complete one (all made up ready to bolt on) for Ł125 delivered.

Sounds daft, but this happen to me - turned out my standard passengers engine mount was dead (in two pieces) and one hard launch later, the engine pulled to tha passengers side and popped the driveshaft out.

I fitted some Vibra Technics engine mounts and I have never had a problem since.

May be an idea to check you engine mounts at the same time.....

Yeah change your engine mounts for after market ones
