ive a 2003 lt109 lwb van,tonite its just lost all power,will barley do 40mph!!

before this it used to give a little pop like a wastegate or dumping boost when changing gear at highish revs on boost.always has done this so thought nothing of it.

no smoke out the exhaust and turbo seems fine,its done just over 80k.

any ideas?desperatly need it to get to croft tommorow!!

 

If its the same lump as the Sprinter,

As you open the bonnet the right hand side of the engine at the bottom is a sensor (dont know its name or what it senses) but I have had that be faulty on a couple of sprinters before, couple of quid to buy but not stocked everywhere.

 

its a different engine to my sprinter i think.

Sounds like the same issue I had, stomping along nicely then waddumfff, lose power and as though its gone into safe mode, not good when your being a legend in the outside lane of a busy motorway

 

feels like safe mode,


anyone help?

we are needing it to get to croft with a trailer!!!

 

I know it's not a Transporter but the Golfs suffer from popping the boost hose off the intercooler due to the poop connections and then they go on a go slow
