Default Glow plug problem on TDi Mondeo, *help*

Posting on behalf of Dan Cossie as he just rang me, on his way down to Devon and come up with a problem...

"driving along , cars goes a bit chuggy, and it wont rev, glow plug light flashes on and off constantly?"

Cars a 04 plate mondeo 2.0tdi 16v

Turned car off back on it fine, then it happens again after a while?

Any idea? He don't wanna drive back monday like it, So may repair it himself if he can before hand

Thanks all.

could be the air flow meter, but would be best off plugging a computer into it to see exactly what it is

make sure it not a injector fault

it is a common fault on them

they might need recoding back to the ecu

it couldn't possibly be a glow plug problem - they are only used for cold starting.

glad it's sorted now
