Here are some pics after i had fitted the airtec turbo cooler to my 4x4.

I am also writing a quick ditty here for those of you who maybe fitting one in the future.
My car had already been fitted with the right type of pipe necessary for job. I think if you buy 8mm samco piping it is the right stuff.(The long thin one in the Whole engine bay shot)

If you use Pace Products Radiator and RS 500 Intercooler as fitted to my cosworth get the plasters ready as it was a right buger to fit.
I had to take the airfilter out and the samco hose with it to the turbo to give a little more room. I alsohad to undo the cold side samco going to the plenum to get the cooler in.
With out doing this i probably would have had to take the bumper and intercooler out.
Before fitting the cooler inplace I had to get one of those little hand drill and grind about 2mm from the bottom of the holes in the cooler for it to line up properly with the hole in the radiator.
I also had to cut out the two plastic holes which hold the top of the twin fans to the radiator, but once the nuts supplied where in, it held it all in place nicely.
If you can get some bolts that are slightly longer than the ones supplied as they could do with being at least 1cm longer.
Once it was in place it was time to cut the hose from the header tank to the turbo water return.
You can see where i have routed it from the turbo to the cooler, under the air intake pipe to the turbo on that side, and the other side was simple enough to know where to cut the hose.
Obviously water went everywere a bit at that point but i checked the whole system to make sure in my mind that there was no air in the system and ran the engine with the header tank cap off, nearly up to full running temprature and squeezing the main water pipes to ensure the system was full of water.
The jubilee clips I bouhght are 8-16 mm. (I had to bag a lift of my Mum to quickly run me round to the nearest Halford's to get them as the ones I initially bought where to big)LOL doppy me.
I took the car out for a bez and gave it a few full boost runs to get the turbo up to temp and my water temprature gauge bearly went up. It stayed under the M on the gauge and did so after I left the car standing for ten+ minutes so there was no air flow going through the cooler to give it another sort of test. My temp gauge was before fitting usually in the middle of the gauge. Normally my radiator fans would have kicked in by then too.
Any way hope I have not bored you too much with this but in my eyes its is a modification well worth getting. Hope there has also been a few helpful tips here.
Sorry if I didnt take pics like a progress one, but I was efin and blinding so many times whilst cutting my fingers and hands I forgot to do so.

told you frank. well worth the 95 quid.
the pipe didnt come with it Euan the pipe on there used to go from the header tank to the turbo going along the slam panel though. the old owner had it on there already. it is a samco hose. i think it is a 8mm one with 12mm on the connection to the header tank end mate.
you will also need jubilee clips to fit. im sure alan at ava will have the right ones lol.
was a bastard to fit too.

got the same one on my saff and that was a right pain to get 2 fit nice! as i had 2 grid a bit off both sides of the top of the fans. well worth the money as my runs so much cooler with it on.

Cheers mate.
the 2wd hose to turbo is different from the 4x4 so not sure it would just be a matter of cutting and re routing to the cooler.

RS sid. bang on mate. i had to do exactly the same things to my fan tops for the nuts and bolts to fit. could have gone to halfordsr homebase to get the right length ones but then i had nothing to cool the turbo if i was to take to cossie lol.
what is that chrome thing above it is that some sort of amal valve?
