Depends what year. If its the earlier dash in the top heater vents panel but with the later dash the panel isn't removable. I'll get some pics for you...

This a good place to mount them on a pre-facelift dash:



On a post face-left dash the vent panel doesn't come out so best to put them where the clock goes, or low down under the radio but you can't really see them there:

ive got my gauges mounted where the radio/cd player goes and i have moved my radio/cd player down to the next slot.
