Changeing A Cv Boot On A Focus
Hmm, how difficult is a a RS Turbo?
Seriously, it just depends on the usual culprits; loosen hub nut, lift and support, wheel off, arb link off (optional, but I always do it), track rod end, bottom ball joint, hub nut off, loosen the 3 strut top mount nuts, puller if necessary to remove CV from hub. Cut old boot ties and boot off, lub up new boot, use tool or 2 thumbs (and a lot of swearing) to slide new boot into place. Apply ties and then as per Haynes.....reassembly is the reverse of the above.
On that basis the only things that have bothered, but not stopped me, are the lower knuckle pinch bolt and the CV in the hub......

Like said above, but there's no need to take the shaft out of the CV joint. Just simply turn the boot inside out, apply loads of grease and slide over the CV joint, then pull back so its the right way out...again with a hefty bit of swearing!
As said above, I don't mention taking the CV off the driveshaft, only getting it out of the hub/knuckle.
Also you'll never get a genuine OE boot stretched over the CV. After market ones are specifically made to be stretchy enough to do this.
