Exclamation See a women get hit on a bike tonight....

Driving back from Dorset, I was looking to my right coming up to a roundabout and was looking at this biker as I could see what was about to happen, she went as it was her right of way, and a car just went into her, she went over the car, rolled and the bike went flying.

She got up and was OK. It made me think back to the 30th June last year when I see a guy get killed on the A1 who was also biker.

Even though she was OK, it still makes me shudder.

Be careful people.

It's all too easy to lose your life!

I think as a biker you need to be soo aware and have a totally different attitude from being a car driver....

And even then some dozy bint, with 3 kids, her Mum, and a dog in the car can still pull out right in front of you doing 60mph, writing off your beloved 'Blade......

Lost my cousin a few years back, riding like a twat, overtook his mate on a country lane bend, went wide, headon with a car, all over. Took a week to die.

His partner is now a mental case, financially struggling, kids have no dad, bad news, all for riding like a prick! No a young guy ever, in his late 30's and very experienced, grass track competer etc.

Mate came off his the other year, 3 fractures in a virtibra, lucky to be walking.

Plenty of bad drivers out there, but plenty of bad bikers out there to.

Ride bikes long enough and you will lose somebody..FACT!!!

And your right mate, as many bad riders as bad drivers

It is so easy to have an accident these days, so much traffic on the roads and everyone is in such a hurry to get to wherever they're going, accidents are bound to happen.

I was in slow moving traffic today, doing probably 20 mph, busy on both sides of the carriageway when a guy on some sort of off road type bike (not sure what it was) came past in the middle of the road riding the cats eyes doing a good 50-60mph, no-one's expecting that kind of thing to happen and it only takes someone to drift into the middle of the road at the wrong time and its game over.

On a lighter note, you failed to mention the many many years of successful racing you've had. Or am i confusing you with someone else?

I have seen a lot of bikers in weaving traffic that are lemons thinking they are invincible. A REALLY good mate thought the same on the A40 near Greenford in traffic a few years ago. On the way to work he was brown bread when a dump truck ran over his head. He was only 20.
