ive used stonechip guard underneath mine, seems to be good so far! it does have the added bonus that you can paint over it if you want.

This is best stuff for underneath your car.
3M SPRAYABLE BAG SEALER.

It,s expensive at Ł7 a bag and you need 15 bags but it really is the best stuff and will last for ever.

Then paint it with this.

Smoothed hammered grey hammerite.Pretty close to mercury grey.

Some pics of mine after 2 month hard work.

Hey, That really is a decent job. Looks like its just come out of the showroom. Is that something you could do again but on a red escort RST? And what colour would you reckon for underneath? I kinder like red and yellow. If you couldn't do it, do you know where i could get it done? Thanks in advance.

Answers to you questions.
1.SOLD it 6 months a go.(SAD DAY)
2.The under sealer is sprayed on using a special nozzle that goes into the bag, plugs into an air line so you will need a compressor.
3.I used this to clean the old crap off back to bare metal

Used 5 of them ,took a while but worked a treat.
4.Just to strip the old under seal and bag sealer and paint under neath took about 3 days.1 day strip,1 day seal and 1 day paint.
With stripping and fitting the suspension, tank, brake&fuel lines,e.c.t it all took a around 2 months.A terrible job to do but 100% worth it.You will not regret it.

Wll deffo do it a gain when i get my SERIES 1 ,but don,t know when that,s going to be due to family comitments.Deffo should paint yours red underneath.Don,t know about the yellow.
I would have a go yourself as a proffesional would want a small fortune due to the hours involved. As i said,it's not a hard job ,just time consuming.
To save a bit of cash i brought a compresser off e-bay for Ł300 brandnew.Used it for 2 days(kept it clean) .Then sold it as brandnew the week after for Ł300.
Should just cost you
1.BAGSEALER x15 = Ł100
2.GRINDER WHEEL ATATCHMENT x 3 = Ł21
3.HAMMRITE x 3 = Ł24.

Around Ł150 (BARGAIN)

Seen your car at the unit - awesome car

The underside was all cleaned up, stone guarded and painted on mine when it had new chassis legs - it's such a sh*t job that Bob said that he would never do it again for anyone i nearly got a bill for the state of his bathroom lol

A couple of pics of mine so far. Going to strip it down again this winter though so i can paint all the underneath. Going to get some radiant red 2 pac made up then get busy with a roller and tray lol. Seen it done on others and it seems to work fine. Anyway, so far my tank has been sprayed and the suspension parts powdercoated, although if i want my floor red, gonna have to do these black or silver otherwise it will look too much of a red going on lol. Nightmare.

and the job ive got to tackle next which im putting off bigtime as i cant get the bolts to undo on the main plate. Any ideas apart from grinder lol???

wish me luck

Am in the middle of moving house at the mo.But i would only be prepared to get the underside back to bare metal, bag sealer it and then paint it.I would n,t want to be stripping then fitting all the old cruddy brackets, bolts and suspension back on.

Have a go your self. The hardest part for me was stripping it down and getting everything powdercoated and clean before i fitted it back on.It,s pointless sealing and painting the underside, then fitting all the rusty parts back on.They will need powdercoating or stripping and painted.
If you could your car to me on a trailer with all the underside stripped except the shocks, arms and wheels so you can still move it ,then yes i would do it for ya.
