I've got an Escort Si and have found this web site very very usefull, my borthers asked for some help on his Astra Van after I told him that this Site had sorted my friends A3 out,

He is saying his fuel pump has gone on his Astra Van "S" Reg Diesel, he reckons the engine needs resetting electronically after a new one is fitted and as a result he's been quoted over £800!!! appologies for sounding a bit forest gump on the problem he mentioned the ECU on the fuel pump or something too?!?!?!

Does it really cost this much to replace or can it be done with out all the machines needed to reset it???

Any help would be very very appriciated
