can anyone tell me what the smoke is that comes out of this saph when it decellerates. my old xr2 turbo used to this and i sold it because of it.

just wandered what causes it and is bad?

cant see the vid at the mo, but is it black or blue? Black will be fuel on the over run, blue may be valve stem seals worn?

By the looks of it I think its just unburnt fuel. I notice that sometimes it spits a flame out too. So I personally wouldnt be worried but maybe get a rolling road set up and check the fuel air mixture etc to see if it is running rich a in the long run this isnt what you want as it has detremental effects on the engine

 

the saph aint mine and the xr2 went years ago.i was jus watching the vid and thought 'thats what the xr did!'

its not oil, its a fueling issue

 

2nd that the white 3 door they catch up to does it aswell
